Daniel Braz, CFA, CIMA
State Street Global Advisors

Dan is a Vice President and Head of Intermediary ETF Strategy in the SPDR ETF Business at State Street Global Advisors where he leads a team responsible for supporting wealth management clients as product and market specialists. In addition, Dan is a frequent speaker at industry events and has authored a suite of collateral on the topic of combining active and passive investments. Previously, Dan was a Senior Relationship Manager in SSGA's Institutional Client Group, where he was responsible for supporting a portfolio of institutional clients. Prior to joining SSGA, Dan spent a decade working in business development in the independent advisor and Registered Investment Advisor distribution channels representing mutual funds and alternative investments. He has been in the investment management industry since 2001. Dan earned an MBA in finance and marketing at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BS in psychology at St. Lawrence University. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society and CFA Institute.

 

   
Emily Chiang, CFP®, MBA

Emily had 25 years of career in financial planning and investment management and 35 years overall in the financial services industry. After a very gratifying career, Emily searched two and a half years for an ideal buyer and sold her practice by herself in 2013. She then worked another year at the buyer's office to transfer her clients to their new advisors. After she completed the transition, she spent the following year and wrote "Selling Your Financial Advisory Practice, A Step-By-Step Workbook." In early 2015, she was invited to serve as a co-host with Knowledge Circle Business Success webinar program emphasizing succession planning for the national Financial Planning Association (FPA). In 2016, Emily founded EMC Succession Planning, LLC to share her knowledge and wisdom with advisers who are dealing with succession planning issues. She is available to give speeches, conduct workshops and provide consulting services on succession planning for financial advisers. In January, 2017, Emily received “2017 Planner of the Year” award from FPA National Capital Area (FPA NCA) to recognize her work in succession planning for the national FPA, FPA NCA and the Foundation for Financial Planning. In June, 2017 Emily was invited to be a member of Journal of Financial Planning Editorial Advisory Board.

  

   
Mike McGuire

Mike McGuire brings over a decade of experience with business development / strategic partnerships in the insurance industry. Prior to joining Plymouth Rock in 2018, Mike was with Progressive insurance focused on partnerships with the largest insurance agencies in the country and forming referral relationships with other insurance companies. Now he brings his knowledge of strategic partnerships to other verticals including the financial services industry. Before working in insurance, Mike had a variety of roles with National City Bank and JP Morgan Chase. Mike has a Bachelor of Arts from Valparaiso Indiana and is working towards an MBA at Baldwin Wallace College.

He has over 30 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry which he started in 1985. Mark has a passion for the business and shares his experiences and knowledge with Independent Insurance Producers and Financial Advisors. His vast knowledge and expertise helps these producers improve their practices by opening up new doors and revenue sources. Darryn Silver Murdoch obtained her BBA in Finance and Economics from Emory University in 1982. She was the Vice President in charge of making markets for corporate accounts for U.S. Treasuries for Lloyd Government Securities Corporation until 1992. In 1994, Darryn graduated from Yeshiva University with a Masters in Social Work and focused her expertise as a Licensed Certified Social Worker for individuals with life challenging illnesses. After 12 years of clinical practice as well as conducting nationwide Leadership trainings for Value Option’s Management and other healthcare related business, Darryn was recruited as a Reverse Mortgage Consultant. Darryn conducts presentations on a regular basis to consumer groups as well as to professional associations. She says that any career that supports a balanced lifestyle based on the principles of abundance and well-being will establish a sense of freedom for all. “I get to educate older adults and their families on their financial options and watch the quality of life improve for people right before my eyes. It is so gratifying to see the stress leave people's faces when I offer them a potential solution for their financial concerns." Also, she was on the Board of Directors for “Solutions for Seniors” from 2005-2008, Financial Planning Association 2009, 2010, 2013-2015, Jewish Family and Children Services 2008-2013. Jim Murphy

With more than 25 years in the financial services industry, Jim Murphy has extensive experience in wealth management and portfolio consulting for high net worth investors and advisors. In addition to his position as head of the business development team at Innovative Portfolios, Jim is the Director and National Sales Manager at an affiliated registered investment advisory firm and its institutional division in Indianapolis, Indiana. He previously served as Managing Director for Schwab Private Client Investment Advisory, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Charles Schwab and Company, where his focus was on leading advisors in portfolio construction and the integration of option-based strategies. Earlier in his career, Jim was responsible for strategic direction as Senior Vice President of Alternative Distribution for ING Investment Management, and he also served as Regional Vice President for Massachusetts Financial Services. Jim received a Bachelor's degree in Business Finance from University of Arizona. He holds the CFP® designation and is a current charter holder of the CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst). Jim is married and has two sons. In his spare time, you can find him golfing, sailing, or snow skiing. In conjunction with Jim, Paul Meinville will also offer his insights and experience. Paul serves as the Innovative Portfolios Vice President of the Eastern region of the United States. With extensive industry experience in helping investors, he also assists the national sales efforts of an affiliated registered investment advisory firm and its institutional division headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. Paul began his career in the 1980s at Charles Schwab, where he advanced to the role of Regional Vice President over the course of 20 years. During that tenure, he was recognized as a Silver Award Winner for Rookie Branch Manager and as Branch Manager of the Year. On several Schwab national task forces, Paul helped with the development of the Schwab Private Client platform, to improve the results of the Schwab Advisor Network, and was involved in other improvements in client service. He subsequently served in management roles at Raymond James and Ameriprise Financial. Originally from the Philadelphia area, Paul earned a B.A. from Temple University and now resides in New Jersey. In his local community, Paul has served on the Count Basie Centennial Committee and the Monmouth University Scholarship Fund Committee, and is a strong supporter of Big Brothers Big Sisters, Special Olympics, and the USO. He enjoys working out, boating, snowmobiling, skiing, playing volleyball, and traveling, and he paddles with the U.S. Men’s National Dragon boat team.

Brian Singleton the Advanced Markets Director for MassMutual Tri State. He focuses on developing Income Tax, Estate Tax, and Business Succession Planning strategies for families and business owners. A native of Ohio, Brian earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. Brian was a two-time Ohio State Wrestling Champion, 2X Mid-American Conference Champion and 3X NCAA Division I National Qualifier. After leaving Kent Brian received his Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law in Akron, Ohio. Brian has been in the Insurance and Investment Advisory business for over 10 years helping families and business owners protect, grow, and transfer their wealth. Brian lectures frequently to families, business owners, CPAs and financial advisors. Candice is the Head of US Market Strategy for Strategic Advisory Solutions. She is responsible for economic and market strategy, along with client engagement on investment solutions. Prior to her current role, Candice worked in Fundamental Equity Product Management, Institutional Sales with a focus on relationship management and business development, and as a team leader for institutional equity in portfolio administration. Her areas of expertise include Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) investing, Womenomics, and emerging markets. Candice earned a B.S. in Marketing, Magna Cum Laude, from Rutgers University and an MBA in Finance and Management from Columbia Business School.
