The Financial Planning Association held their March dinner meeting on Tuesday, March 5 at the APA Hotel in Edison, NJ. Our dinner meetings are intended to provide attendees with insights into current financial topics and provide continuing education credits. The topics for Tuesday night were Geriatric Care and Elder Abuse and Intergenerational Wealth Transfer. Lisa Curtis and Jessica Reyes discussed the myriad issues individuals and families face managing the financial implications of aging and longevity and how financial advisors can assist in this process. Louis Gentile and Ajay Sarkaria addressed the challenging topic of effectively and efficiently transferring wealth from one generation to another while adhering to the wishes of the elder generation. All four presentations were insightful with practical applications to our advisors and their clients. We look forward to seeing everyone at our June Dinner meeting.
