Topic: Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), Then and Now


Credit Information:  Valid for one (1) CFP CE credit.  The CFP Board communicates approved credit to NJ Insurance for CFPs.  We provide certificates of attendance for self submission for other certifications, however no others are pre-approved.


Program Description:  

How the Paycheck Protection Program Flexibility Act of 2020 and related additional SBA guidance
relaxed rules and safe harbors making it easier for borrowers to use PPP loan proceeds for permitted
purposes and to obtain full loan forgiveness.

Review changes made to the original PPP Loan Forgiveness Application and the addition of an
alternative EZ PPP Loan Forgiveness Application for certain eligible borrowers.


Attendees will learn of:

  1. Changes to PPP loan guidelines resulting from the Paycheck Protection Program Flexibility Act of 2020.
  2. Eligibility requirements for borrowers to use the new simpler EZ PPP Loan Forgiveness Application.
  3. Areas requiring further guidance from the SBA.
