As you may know, CFP Board has opened a second comment period on the revised proposed Code of Ethics and Standards for Conduct. The FPA Member Advocacy Council (MAC), which is the official mechanism within FPA that is gathering feedback from members on the activities and programs of regulatory and certifying agencies, needs your urgent help. The MAC is gathering feedback from CFP® professionals on CFP Board’s revised proposed Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct that they announced on Dec. 20. To ensure the collective voice of CFP® professional members of FPA is heard on these important standards, MAC is offering members a variety of input opportunities.

  • You can participate in a brief survey, which is now open and will conclude on January 17.
  • You can join us for a 60-minute member conference call on January 10 at 2 pm ET to discuss the revised proposed standards and share your opinions.
  • You can participate in the online discussion on the All-Member Open Forum on FPA Connect, which is taking place now.
  • You can submit your confidential thoughts and opinions to the MAC via email at FPAMAC@OneFPA.org.

FPA’s goal is to develop a comment letter that is representative of member sentiment and that can only be assured with our member's support and assistance.
